The greatest job in the world is the one that pays you for what you love to do. If you are doing what you love to do but are struggling, the USBJJA can provide you with the necessary knowledge to turn your school into a professional and profitable business.
Our Mission Statement
The goal of the USBJJA is to maintain the integrity of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Today there are many organizations and instructors that offer BJJ certification through video testing. However, we firmly believe that to maintain the integrity and development of BJJ to the school owners and instructors throughout the United States, a reputable organization with genuine BJJ lineage should certify such rank. Therefore, if you become an affiliate of the USBJJA, Master Paulo Fernando will test you personally and your rank will be certified by the USBJJA. Furthermore, your rank also will be registered with the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation in Sao Paulo, Brazil under Master Octavio de Almeida. This certification of your rank and association with both the USBJJA and the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation will not only solidify your BJJ rank with your students but will also make you stand out from the other BJJ instructors in your area.
(Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu only recognizes 3rd-degree black belts and higher to legitimately promote anyone from white belt to black belt. A 3rd-degree black belt and above may promote a black belt no higher than one degree below that of the promoting black belt.)
